Would like to start an internet business for my son to run but afraid of being scammed any ideas?

Never know who I can trust on the internet and would like to do this because he suffers from migraines.

I am not sure what kind of "scams" you are afraid of but there are several things one can do to prevent "scams"

    1. any kind of buisness contacts you check them out with the BBB (better business bueru)

    2. only take payments via a known payment processing or require a money order for payments

I am not sure what kind of business you are trying to start but if you use common sense you should be fine, the saying

"if its too good to be true ……" is something to keep in mind

also there are **LOTS** of good books about starting an online business

That’s a hard question to answer because it’s so generic.

An online business can be just about anything. You certainly don’t have to "buy" an opportunity of some kind or join a program in order to start a money-making business on the web.

And there are literally thousands of different niches where you can target your business – and hundreds of different profit models.

Here is a short overview of just SOME of the ways that people earn money online:
    ————————————————————–

    - Ebay (buying/selling goods at a profit)

    - Selling digital goods (software, information, access to databases, etc.)

    - Driving targeted traffic to niche/themed websites and monetizing it with adverts that pay you per click

    - Making money as an affiliate of another company or product, making commissions based on referred sales

    - Generating leads for other businesses who need fresh, incoming leads to convert to customers or clients

    - Buying/Selling domain names and websites

    - Purchasing advertising and sending it to offers that will make you money

    - Developing your own product for online sales and recruiting affiliates to sell it for a commission

    - And so on

However, you and your son need to discover what sort of business model, niche and workload would be most appealing, relevant and realistic to your situation.

I would really recommend getting involved in some of the web’s more popular marketing/web business forums, getting to know some of the entrepreneurs who make a full time income on the web, and then making an informed decision as to what you need to do in order to get your own business off the ground.

It’s my personal opinion, as a full-time web entrepreneur who makes a full-time, passive income from my own network of sites and web properties, that you should avoid "programs" that you have to pay to join.

Find out what’s working for others, put your own spin on it, and try it out.

Again, I’ve listed the more popular web marketing forums and discussion groups in the source box below…
