Why did this group put trojans in their main web page?

I know someone overseas who teaches at a high school. Someone high up created a web page to advertise the school recently. When I went to
the web page just have a look at the school, my Norton Anti Virus showed an X in the top left corner and said the page was unsafe. When I hit the button to see why it was unsafe, it said that there were trojans with in the page.

Why would anybody who wants to advertise a school or anything,
want to put trojans into their page?

What are they up to?

They are hoping someone doesn’t have any protection so they can get infected by coming to the page.

thats most likely a false positive. norton tends to give alot of those, i wouldnt worry about it.

I agree w/ the first poster – their site probably got hijacked. Sad to say it’s not uncommon and most likely not their fault (who would do that on the home page?). Let them know, they can consult w/ someone to correct that.
