What speed broadband do I need to stream live sporting events online?
I regularly stream using my existing broadband (20MB) wireless with a 54MBPS dongle.
I need to find another ISP but I have to know the minimum speed needed to stream online.
I also need to find a reasonably piced ISP who would supply a wireless router but that may be another question for another time.

20 MB…:O. I just have a 1MBPS connection (which is more than the average where I live) and streaming is satisfactory. The speed of streaming also depends on the site you’re watching from some streams work well even with a slow connection.
Stream? 20mb?!
I only have 8mb, and mine streams ok, although sometimes not as good, but 20mb should be more than enough in my opinion! That is still very fast compared to some areas!
You require 1-2 MBPS speed.
