I hear that submitting a web site to certain major directories is a good way to get traffic and i wanted to know if any body knew which ones they were and maybe even a little advice on how to submit them.

I make tapestries, wall hangings and cards. I have had a bit of traffic with over 600 hits but I havent had any sales where do you think I am going wrong. Where do you suggest I advertise?

Are we allowed to do affiliate marketing on blogger.com?
M not too sure about that cos one of terms of agreement seem to say we are not to use it for any commercial purposes.
Also Word Press explicitly forbid it.

Doesn’t it sound like its use for commercial purposes is prohibited? I have heard some instances where accounts were terminated for suspicion of being SPAM blogs??!! i.e blogs used to direct traffics to other sites.

I started a web page a few months ago and have not had any traffic according the count meter. how do I increase traffic especially local traffic with 25 miles of my addess?

I am working on a project for an Information Systems Class. I need to know a good website to get statistics on the traffic on several companies website’s in order to understand the effect of the website.
