I have a new website. When I try a search on major search engines my sites does show up in the returned results. I am trying to increase the amount of traffic the site receives. Do I need to register with the search engines, or is there something else I need to do? Any Ideas?

What is the fastest way to generate large volumes of traffic (2000+) hits per day to a new website. It’s got a .com domain, and I can’t seem to get any hits, aside from those that I buy (arbitrage). I’ve search engine optimized the site as much as possible, and I’ve submitted it to all the major search engines. What else can I do? Tips, tricks?

Hello all, my title says it all. For some reason google picked up my content from the footer area, and used it as my site description?

How can i stop major search engines from picking up content from diffrent parts of my site, to use as my site descripion?

How can i make it so they only spider the descripion the site is optimized for?

Google use to crawl my correct site descripion like a few weeks ago, but dont know what happend.

Please help.

I would like to have my small business’s URL be recognized during searches on the major search engines. It is seen by Google already – is there a way to submit it directly with specific keywords – meta tags in place?
