How often does Google Earth update it’s photographs of the globe?

I’ve noticed that photos of the same locations change over time but since I hardly use Google, and only use Google Earth periodically, I’m curious as to how often the photos are updated: Is it monthly, bi-monthly, every 6-months, a year even? Does anyone really know for sure?

Not often enough LOL – they definitely need to do it more often!

  • Johny says:

Once every 3 months and if the region is some imp place they go for it as often as once or twice every month.

I realize this is no help or anything, But I thought that was a good question. I recently had downloaded Google Earth and turned/zoomed the globe to around my area and it told me the last time the photo had been updated/taken was in 2006. As you probably know, It is now 2009. Either my updater is broken, Or they’re updating takes forever.
