How do I find out if an online business is legit? There is no contact information on their website.?
I am wanting to work at home, and I have been searching online for different businesses that allow work at home. But I am not sure how to know the difference between a scam and the real thing. The business that I was wondering about has no contact information, or place of registration. I am just paranoyed about stuff like this, and I dont want to be scammed. I would really appreciate someones help on this. Thank you.

u just answered it….always listen to your gut instinct. if u know something seems off, then it isnt right. if a business doesnt have its contact info, i would think that it is a scam because then, no one would be able to call/write about complaints, and they would still have your money. a legit business would have their contact info because they actually would want to improve overall customer satisfaction.
Legal companies will give you the name of the Company, address and phone number!

Compare "Fly-by-Night" to someone you know is legit – Ford Motor Company, Proctor & Gambell, Bank of America, Hewlitt-Packard . . .
The real ones have an e-mail address, a toll-free telephone number and a street address; the big legit ones have several of each, depending on what you want to contact them about.
